Dr Chandra Bhanu Satpathy ji (lovingly referred to as "Guruji") is a spiritual leader and ardent devotee of Shirdi Sai Baba, who calls himself a servant of Baba.
Since 1989 Shri Sai has been His only and ultimate reality. His only aim is to serve Baba by serving His children. To date, more than a million devotees of Baba have come into contact with Him and have benefited from his guidance.
Guruji says, "Serving Baba and being in love with Him is the ultimate reality. I, therefore do not seek things like ‘Samadhi’, emancipation, to be a yogi, have miracle powers etc. When the most extraordinary God descends on earth as an ordinary person, how can the ordinary persons try to be extraordinary?"
Those fortunate enough to have met Guruji have been overwhelmed by His love and kindess and many have even received help that has alleviated their temporal problems.
Guruji has authored many books including Shirdi Sai Baba and Other Perfect Masters, Baba May I Answer, The Age of Shirdi Sai and his magnum opus "Shri Guru Bhgavat", a 4-volume treatise on the Guru-Shishya (Master-Disciple) relationship.
Guruji has also composed some of the most powerful and emotive music on Shri Shirdi Sainath with recent album releases such as Living with Sai, Aao Sai, Shriman Narayan Sai, Shri Sainathaya Namah Namah, Sai Mere Palanhaar and Vardaan Do Sai.
In addition to his literary and musical contributions, Guruji is a patron of many charitable organisations and has personally spent much time reaching out to and helping the poor, needy and those afflicted with the most severe physical maladies such as leprosy, blindness and lameness.
During Guruji's visit to the UK in August 2001, He inaugurated His very first temple in the U.K. in Kent, performing the "prana pratistha" (symbolic invoking of life) ceremony of a beautiful statue of Shri Shirdi Sai Baba.
Since 1989 Guruji has inaugurated over 350 temples and centres in India and across the globe, including the U.S.A., U.K., Australia, New Zealand, Kenya, South Africa and several other countries with many more in the process of being developed.
